Unhavare precisely lies deep in the heart of a gorgeous valley, along the bank of a charming river. Rolling farm land, lush forests and undulating majestic hills encase the village making it a delightful tourist spot. The place belongs to the Konkan division and is near to the Arabian Sea.

The hot water spring at Unhavare is one of the most alluring gifts of nature. From deep inside the earth, the boiling spring water bubbles up, cascading down over a series of three rock pools. The refreshing breeze from the river cools it down. The water of the hot spring is clear having a faint taste and smell of sulphur. It is said that owing to the presence of sulphur, the water has medicinal value and helps in curing certain skin diseases. People can take bath in the hot water spring in the shelters provided for them. Bathing in the water of this spring is immensely soothing and energizing which poses an invigorating effect on the body and mind.

The point where the hot spring originates is regarded as sacred and is thus visited barefoot. The sulphur smell of this water can be easily recognized as the spring comes out from underground sulphur deposits. There is a thick mangrove forest on the right side of the river. These forests offer threefold benefits viz. forming a buffer zone to absorb floodwaters, stabilizing land and sheltering young fishes. A temple of Lord Shiva stands adjacent to the dense forest, over a neighbouring hill. The tranquillity and lush greenery adds to the village beauty making it a geographical surprise. Unhavare is surrounded with spellbinding landscapes and forms a major attraction of the Konkan beach holiday vacations.

Visiting Information
Unhavare can be reached both by roadways and railways. Anjani Railway Station is the nearest railway station to reach the village. Khed Railway Station is also convenient but can be reached from nearby towns. However the major railway station connecting major cities is the Ratnagiri Railway Station, located at a distance of 76 kilometres from Unhavare. The place is 35 kilometres from Dapoli. Khed serves as the nearest town which has road connectivity to Unhavare.
