Somatheeram Beach is located at a distance of 21 kilometres from the city of Trivandrum. Cottages and hotels over hillocks in the sea front provide accommodation to the tourists, which also add to the scenic charm of the beach. It is the nearest town and buses can be availed from the city for reaching the beach. Trivandrum International Airport serves as the nearest airport whereas the nearest railways station is also located at Trivandrum.
