Siridao Beach, GoaSiridao Beach nestled near the Zuari estuary, few kilometres away from Panjim, Goa and is one of the magnificent beaches of Goa. Adorned with a wondrous assortment of oyster and pearl shells, the beach is a paradise for shell collectors. The beach is rocky as well as sandy and is dotted with mysterious caves. Siridao Beach is generally known as the Beach of Shell Collectors. Siridao Beach is also known as Shiridon and situated in North Goa.

Location of Siridao Beach
Siridao Beach is situated at a distance of 8 kilometres from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, 20 kilometres from Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and 21 kilometres from Mapusa.

Things to do in Siridao Beach
Siridao Beach is a haven for shell collectors and once can easily find myriad types of shells here. An attraction of Siridao Beach is "The Chapel of Jesus of Nazareth" which stands at the beach inviting a number of devotees for paying reverence to Lord Jesus. On the first week of Easter, a grand feast is organized which also gathers numerous people. Siridao beach also forms the gateway to the Siridao village. At the entrance of Siridao village, there are three stone carved statues playing musical instruments with a dog. The beach also has preserved the testimony of a huge man like creature which was once an inhabitant of the place and was locally called as Paulist.

Siridao beach is also the home to the chapel of the Holy Souls which was constructed in the year 1973 and is popular for its excellent architecture. A well known architect named Lucio Miranda had designed it and it was sanctified by the faithful with 10 lakhs Hail Marys for its long life. Local crowd of Siridao beach comprises typical fishermen. However, many of them have left their native place and shifted to France or England for earning a better livelihood.

Siridao Beach is well connected with the other parts of the country. The nearest airport is Dabolim Airport which is about 20 kilometres away. The nearest railway station is Tivim railway station or Margao railway station.
