Early Life of Seminlen Doungel
Seminlen Doungel was born on 3rd January in the year 1994. He is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Shillong Lajong Football Club in the I-League. He was born in Manipur. Seminlen Doungel started his career in the youth team of JCT Football Club before joining Kingfisher East Bengal F.C. of the I-League in 2011.

Career of Seminlen Doungel
Seminlen Doungel also plays for North East United Football Club in the Indian Super League. He scored his first goal of the league against the Chennaiyin Football Club.

Seminlen Doungel with East Bengal Football Club
During his first season with the club Seminlen Doungel played only a few times before making his international cup debut for East Bengal in the AFC Cup on 9th May 2012 against Kazma. Seminlen Doungel started that match and played 72 minutes before being substituted off as East Bengal lost 2-1.

Seminlen Doungel in I league
On 11th January 2013, during the 2012-13 season, Seminlen Doungel was loaned out to fellow I-League side Pailan Arrows for the rest of the season. He made his debut for the side the next day on 12th January against Air India. Seminlen Doungel played 88 minutes before being substituted off as Pailan Arrows drew the match in 1-1. Seminlen Doungel then scored his first professional goal of his career for the club on 24th March 2013 against Mohun Bagan. Seminlen Doungel found the net in the 49th minute but could not help his side from losing 3-2 that match.

Seminlen Doungel then scored his second and final goal for Pailan Arrows on 20th April 2013 against Salgaocar Football Club. His 36th minute strike being the lone goal for Arrows as they fell on the day in 2-1.

Seminlen Doungel with Shillong Lajong
On 5th May 2014, following the conclusion of the 2013-14 season, it was announced that Seminlen Doungel had signed for Shillong Lajong Football Club who also play in the I-League.
