Kuravi, which is also known as Korvi is the place which attracts the people of Hindu community, because of a large number of temples of both ancient and medieval origin are erected from the time of Chalukyas of Badami to Kakatiya rule in this region.

Kuravi comes under Dornakal Assembly segments of Telangana. Culture of Kuravi deals with the portrayal of South Indian culture. On the occasion of Mahashivaratri festival, nearly 40,000 devotees visit the temple for the Abodes` blessings by offering prayers. On this occasion, the largest devotees gathering witness the celestial wedding of Lord Veerabadra Swami and Shri Bhadrakali by observing "Jagarana". Other festivals people celebrate in Kuravi are Bathukamma Festiva, Bonalu Festival and many other festivals. Every Monday there is big cattle fair (angadi) in which village farmers come to purchase and sell cattle like Pushkar Fair.

Economy of Kuravi is dependent on agriculture. The villages under Kuravi mainly depend on crops like cotton and chilli.

Tourism in Kuravi
Kuravi has one of the holy Shivite temples in the state. The temple is said to be built by the then rulers of Warangal, the Kakatiya Dynasty for worshipping their deity Lord Shri Veerabhadra Swami and his consort Shri Bhadrakali. The temple is called the Shri Bhadrakali Veerabhadra Swami temple. Bhadrakali Veerabhadra Swami temple is mostly visited by the local tribal people and non-tribal people as well all round the year. Sathya Sai Bajana Temple is also another attraction for the tourists.
