Post, Katpadi Tk, Vellore, Tamil NaduK.M.G College of Arts and Science was founded on 10th September 2000, after receiving approval from the Tamil Nadu Government and University of Madras, with a sanctioned strength of about one hundred and ninety six students. Run by Kunja Kousalya Ammal Govindarajan Educational and Charitable Trust, Gudiyattam, the college was housed within a temporary building of the campus of Tiruvalluvar Higher Secondary School, during the academic session of 2000-2001. Then on 24th July 2001, K.M.G College of Arts and Science was transferred to its large and permanent building that covers an area of 45,000 sq. ft. The address of KMG College of Arts & Science is-

Presently KMG College of Arts & Science offers courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Undergraduate courses include- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), B.Com, Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), B.Sc. in Computer Science, B.Sc. in Bio Chemistry, B.Sc. in Microbiology, B.Sc. in Physical Education (Health and Sports) Postgraduate courses include- M.Sc. in Computer Science, M.Sc. in Bio Chemistry.

KMG College of Arts & Science has an excellent infrastructure that creates an ideal environment for pursuing academics. The college campus, clean and green, has multistoried buildings with spacious, bright, well-ventilated classrooms. The science and computer laboratories are well-equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The library is well-stocked with updated reading rooms, books, periodicals and newspapers. It is wholly air-conditioned that can accommodate nearly two hundred students at a time. It has a treasure house of over five thousand books and one hundred journals. It also houses an air-conditioned computer with a seating capacity of sixty students. More than fifty machines are interconnected via `Thin Client networking technology`. High speed broadband internet connection also proves to be beneficial for the users. The placement cell arranges campus interviews for helping students to get placed in respected companies. Good transportation enables students to reach college right in time. Both male and female students can access the college canteen.

There is also a seminar hall fully air conditioned with seating arrangements for over two hundred and fifty students along with modern equipments like LCD projector, audio and video systems. The college auditorium is equally extraordinary with seating capacity of oven one thousand students. It has both audio and video systems. Several events like national or state level workshops and several significant functions are feted quite frequently.

KMG College of Arts & Science possesses hostel facility separately for both male and female students. While the boys hostel is situated nearby, the girls hostel is built inside the campus. Apart from studies, KMG College of Arts & Science takes special care to promote co- curricular activities amongst the students. Talented students also are given opportunities to participate in various inter-state level events and competitions. Spacious playgrounds like basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, cricket and open gymnastics enrich the talent of sports lovers. To promote social awareness, N.S.S programmes are organised on regular basis. 2 wings of N.S.S, with student strength of 100, each for women and female, have the approval of the University.
