Established by GSL Educational Society, GSL Medical College is a prominent medical institution in Andhra Pradesh.

GSL Medical College, situated in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, was established by the GSL Educational Society in 1999. The primary objective of the college was to promote medical education and health care in the state. The medical institution was founded in the memory of the mother of Dr. Ganni Bhaskara Rao, Smt. Ganni Subba Lakshmi. Sri Ganni Satyanarayana Murthy, husband of Smt. Ganni Subba Lakshmi was the founder President of the college. The medical college and hospital houses both the Pre and Para Clinical Departments, along with adequate staff and latest medical equipment as per the norms of Medical Council of India (MCI). The college has also appointed some highly qualified and experienced clinicians in accordance to the norms of Medical Council of India (MCI).

The state government of Andhra Pradesh has permitted the educational institution and it has also got the approval of the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Indian Nursing Council (INC). The GSL Medical College (GMC) is affiliated to the NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS).

GSL Medical College (GMC), Rajahmundry, offers many courses at the graduate and postgraduate levels. The courses include MBBS, BPT, B.Sc. in Nursing, and B.Sc. in MLT. The School of Nursing, under the GSL Medical College (GMC) also offers several paramedical courses like Diploma in Medical Imaging, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, Certificate Course in Blood Banking, Anaesthetists Technician course, Dialysis Technician Training Course, MPHW (Female) Training Course, Certificate of Radiographic Assistant, Dark Room Assistants, ECG Technician Course, Audio Metric Technician course, Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant, Optometrist Technician, Dental Technician Course, Dental Hygienist Course, MPHW (Male) Training Course, Cath Laboratory Technician, Cardiology Perfusion Technician Course, Diploma in Cardiology Technician Course and Diploma in Respiratory Therapy Technician.
