Govindasvamin as one of the ancient astronomer of ancient Indian Astronomer made prominent contributions in the field of mathematics which paved the way for modern day mathematics which includes the use of Geometry to calculate the movement of the stars and planets and the earth simultaneously. His astronomical and mathematical discoveries are enlisted in his book known as Govindrakriti which has been quoted and referred by a number of scholars who succeeded him like Sankaranarayana, Nilkantha Soyamji and Narayana after him.
The manuscripts which describe the version of Govindasvamin are yet to be published. Overall we get an idea of this contribution from the descriptions which are mentioned in the books of Hindu Astronomy. Thus it can be concluded that Harridatta was another Hindu Astronomer who belonged to Kerela and who had been prominent for his contribution in the field of mathematics and astronomy.
