Entrance Examinations for Engineering
Applicants of prestigious engineering colleges are required to appear for and pass different engineering entrance examinations. Good scores in such exams are an essential qualification for obtaining admission into these reputed educational institutions. These engineering admission exams required for getting admissions to several professional degree courses like B.E, B. Tech, B. Arch and B. Planning and more. Some of the common engineering entrance tests are All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) and other State Engineering Entrance Exams. The national level entrance tests for engineering are conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Department of Secondary & Higher Education under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). They organize these exams in acquiescence with the directives issued by the Government of India.

Medical Entrance Examination
Medical Entrance examinations are conducted on state levels, as well as national levels. Some of the leading national level institutions arrange for their own medical entrance examinations. A candidate who has cleared the 10+2 or any equivalent examination with a combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology is eligible to appear for the tests. All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Exam (AIPMT), All India Institute of Medical Sciences Entrance Exam, All India Common Entrance Examination (AICEE), by Veterinary Council of India, Armed Forces Medical College Core Entrance (AFMC) and State Medical Entrance Exams are the medical Entrance tests held in the country. Joint Entrance Test for M.Sc (JAM), Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST): Test for Ph.D admission and Competence in Software Technology (CST) Examination are some of the other Medical Entrance Exams conducted in India.

The entrance test examinations measures the students completely on the basis of their perceptive power, observation, knowledge and creative potential.
