Eligibility Criteria for Orissa Joint Entrance Exam
Eligibility criteria for Orissa Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) can be aptly described as the scale that decides whether a candidate is eligible to sit for this competitive entrance test or not.
The minimum eligibility criteria for Orissa Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) that the candidates need to have is a pass in the 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa. A minimum mark of 60% in aggregate in all the compulsory subjects is required. The students who are appearing for the 10+2 examination can also apply. The eligibility requirements differ as per the degree courses.
The requirements are as follows -
Engineering/Technology Courses
For getting admissions in Engineering and Technology courses, the candidates need to have passed the 10+2 examination of Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa or any equivalent examination with mandatory subjects Physics, Mathematics, and any one subject from Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biology/ Biotechnology. Candidates with a qualification in 10+3 diploma course in engineering or technology or any equivalent are also eligible to apply for this entrance test. A minimum of 60 per cent marks is required.
Pharmacy Courses
For getting admissions in the Pharmacy courses, the candidates need to have cleared the 10+2 level examination or any or equivalent examination of Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa with these compulsory Physics, Mathematics, and any one from these subjects Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biology/ Biotechnology. Students who are appearing in this examination are also eligible to apply. Candidates who have cleared the 10+3 diploma course in Pharmacy with a minimum of 60% marks can also apply.
MBBS/BDS Courses
For getting admissions in MBBS and BDS courses, the candidate should have passed or those who are appearing in the 10+2 examination of Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa or any equivalent examination with these mandatory subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ST candidates). The candidates must be in between 17 years and 25 years.
MCA/MBA Courses
For getting admissions in MCA and MBA, the candidates need to have a Bachelor`s Degree in any stream or discipline of study from any UGC recognized University.
Architecture Courses
For admissions into Architecture degree courses, the candidates need to have passed the 10+2 examination of Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa with an aggregate of 50% marks with these compulsory subjects - Mathematics and any one from Physics/Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biology/Engineering Drawing. Candidates who have passed the 10+3 years diploma with a minimum of 50 % marks in total are also eligible to apply.
