Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, Karampura, New DelhiSituated at Shivaji Marg, Karampura, New Delhi, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College is a constituent college of Delhi University wholly financed by Government of NCT, Delhi. This co-educational college was set up in the fond memory of late Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, a famous academic, scholar and social activist. Although Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College had a humble beginning of near about three hundred students, presently the strength of this college is over 1000. Students have enrolled themselves in multiple disciplines of Science, Commerce and Humanities.

Currently various courses are offered by Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College at undergraduate level-- B.Sc (Hons) in subjects like Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, and Physics. B.Sc in Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Applied Physical Sciences etc. Students of Humanities can take admission in B.A (Hons) in English and B.A (General) Programmes. Other courses include PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications), B. Com. (Honours), and `B.B.S`. Moreover the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College is an official centre where classes for `CPT and PCC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India` are conducted. Classes are held between 3.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. from Monday to Fridays. Short Term Courses like "A Certificate course in Effective Communication and Personality Development through theatre" and "A Certificate Course in Finger Prints and Document Examination" are effective in the professional world.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College library is a hub for exchanging views and thoughts between teachers and their students. It is well equipped with a huge collection of two thousand and seven hundred volumes of books, three hundred bound volumes of journals and nearly 500 CDs and floppies on varied subjects. It also has subscription to forty-seven periodicals and newspapers, 15 in number. Moreover this library is fully computerised with all the operations performed via computers. Interestingly, the library is an integral part of UGC-INFONET, an electronic resource-sharing network that provides accessibility to over four thousand electronic journals on various subjects and 10,000 e-texts on English literature classics. Free Internet accessibility is available for the readers. Not only that, for helping the poor and deserving students, the College Library, jointly with International Punjabi Society (A Charitable Trust) has started a Book Bank facility. The college also bears Institutional membership of the famous British Council Library. Well-equipped laboratories for Physics, Electronics, Botany, Zoology Chemistry and Computer Science also suffice to the requirements of students.

A handful of more facilities are provided by the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College library. The college canteen is the best place to spend free time. It is quite spacious, accommodating nearly hundred students. The Oriental Bank of Commerce has opened a counter for lending help to the students. Photostat services are available. The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College has full power backup through 125 KVA generator set. The Alumni Association of this college is equally functional in maintaining contacts with all the ex-students.

Apart from providing an excellent environment of learning and education, the college also has shown enough interest in developing one`s personality through extracurricular actions. Special scholarships are awarded to the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College students. Shri Ghasi Ram Mittal Memorial Scholarship and the Pandit Vidyadhar Tripathi Memorial Award deserve mentioning.

The Students Aid Fund has been formed with the goal of providing monetary support to the deserving students. Fee exemption also is granted to some of the meritorious and needy students.
