Chowara Beach is situated near Kovalam in the south Indian state Kerala exhibiting scintillating natural beauty. Chowara is a fishing village enclosed with exquisite landscapes. There is also a Vizhinjam anchorage which serves as an added tourist attraction. Aazhimala Shiva Temple is also located here which forms another tourist attraction. The Shri Dharma Shastha Temple located on a nearby hillock is also visited by many devotees.

Chowara Beach can be visited all through the year, however it is best to avoid the place during monsoon. It can be reached easily through various means. Thiruvananthapuram Central, 20 kilometres away, serves as the nearest railway station. Trivandrum International Airport, located at a distance of 24 kilometres from the beach, is the nearest airport. Chowara Beach also has a good connectivity of roadways and can be accessed from all the major cities of India.
