Rameshwar temple is visited by many devotees when planning a trip for Chivla beach.

People interested in the history can visit the Sindhudurg fort and Padmagad fort. The Sindhudurg fort is one of Maharashtra`s most popular and important sea forts. It was established in the 17th century.

If one wishes to go by road then can avail state transport buses that ply from Mumbai, Kolhapur or Pune to Malvan. From Malvan region one can go either by autos or rickshaws. The ideal time to visit this beach is from December to February as these months have clear skies.
