Boothipuram is a panchayat town in Theni district in the Tamil Nadu state of India. It comprises of 15 wards with two small villages namely Vaalaiyathu patti and Aathi patti. There are three important places in the region including Urkaalapan Kovil, Sannasiyapan Kovil and Foothills of Marakamalai. Kottakudi River, Vaalaiyar River and Raja Bobalasamuthiram pond are the main water resources of this town. The people of Boothipuram mostly speak Tamil.
Demographics of Boothipuram
As per 2001 India census, the town had a population of 9623 of which males were 51% and females were 49%. In the town, 12% of the population was under 6 years of age. On the basis of the report of same year, the town had an average literacy rate of 60% which was higher than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy was 69% and female literacy was 50%.

There are several festivals that are celebrated here with great grandeur and pomp. The most prominent festivals celebrated here are Varatharaja Perumal, Urkaalapan Kovil, Sannasiyapan Kovil, Chithirai Pongal and Kaaliyamman Kovil.
