Biseswar Vaidyadhipa is the author of a metrical chronicle called Belimarar Buranji. He employed Vaishnava traditional metres.

Biseswar Vaidyadhipa is known for introducing metres like muktavali, bidagdha lechari, Purandarar paini sakalar bilap in muktavali metre and Chandra-kantar babe puranarir bilap in bidagdha lechari. These gave new directions in Assamese metrical history. Belimarar Buranji was composed between 1838 and 1846. It contains the description of the changing aspects of life, events and incidents in Assam between the years of 1788 and 1819.

The language of Belimarar Buranji has an easy rhythm and original similes. The central theme of the poem is impermanence of every thing as in Vaishnava ethical tenets. He has used extensively Vaishnava traditional metres as well as introduced new metres.
