Arvind Bhat, Indian Badminton PlayerArvind Bhat is a professional male Indian badminton player hailing from Bengaluru. He was born on June 7, 1979 in Madikeri of Karnataka.

Arvind Bhat won the national championships in India in the year 2008. Arvind Bhat has a Brother Avinash Bhat, who is married to Sowmya and have a daughter Anvi Bhat.

This was his first National Championships title. Arvind Bhat attained the National Championships after reaching the finals 4 times in the previous 7 years. Then again he won the title in 2011 of National Championship after defeating Kashyap P in what would be called one of the best Championship finals.

On the international level badminton tournament, Arvind Bhat has won six International titles including the Scottish Open of Badminton in the year 2004 and the Czech International Badminton in the year 2007.

Arvind Bhat reached gold in the German Team Championships in the year 2008. He has represented India in more than 100 International events in badminton. Arvind Bhat also participated in Asian Games 2010 in Guanzhou, China and was in the Indian team of Badminton for Sudirman Cup 2011.

In the year 2012, Vietnam Open in Second Round of Men`s Singles made him to defeat. He defeated third seeded Ajay Jayaram by 23-21 21-17 and entered into Third Round. In the year 2014, Arvind Bhat won the German Open in Badminton after defeating Hans-Kristian Vittinghus of Denmark in 24-22, 19-21, 21-11. Arvind Bhat is the only second Indian shuttler to win a GP Gold title outside India. He is now the adviser at the White peacock Badminton Academy in Bengaluru.
