Anitha Pauldurai was born on 22nd June in the year 1985 in Chennai which is located in South Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Career of Anitha Pauldurai
Anitha Pauldurai is an Indian basketball player who has been the Captain of the Indian Women`s National basketball team. Anitha Pauldurai is the first Indian woman who played seven Asian Basketball Confederation (ABC) championships continuously to represent the Nation squad and also gave the honour of Captaincy. Anitha Pauldurai is one of the first ever ranked in Top Four A grade Elite basketball player of Indian.

International Professional League of Anitha Pauldurai
During August 2012, Anitha Pauldurai has been selected to play for international professional league in Thailand. Anitha Pauldurai has played a number of international tournaments including big ticket events such as the Asian Championship, Common Wealth Games 2006 and 16th ASIAN games 2010.

Later Career of Anitha Pauldurai
Anitha Pauldurai joined Southern Railway 2003, now working as Chief Ticket Inspector.

Awards Received by Anitha Pauldurai
Anitha Pauldurai won Gold Medal in 1st 3 on 3 Fiba Asian Basketball championships at Doha 2013, Gold Medal in 3rd Asian beach games at Haiyan China 2012. Anitha Pauldurai was the Captain and Top Assists in the tournament. Anitha Pauldurai also won in Gold Medal in South Asian Beach Games at Sri Lanka 2011 and Silver Medal in Asian indoor games at Vietnam 2009. Anitha Pauldurai won Gold Medal for 10 years and Bronze Medal for 2 years in prestigious senior National championship and won 11 medals in prestigious National games, Federation cup, Junior level Games and Youth national games.

Personal Life of Anitha Pauldurai
Anitha Pauldurai is a resident of Chennai. She started playing basketball at the age of 11, but admits that early on, she was not a fan of the sport. She liked volleyball and athletics more than she like basket ball. But when Anitha Pauldurai was in school, the basketball coach recommended that to try the game. The more Anitha Pauldurai played, the more interested she became in the sport. Anitha Pauldurai was graduate in B.Com from Madras University and MBA (HRM) from Annamalai University.
