Sukhbir Singh Gill was born on 14th December 1975 in Chandigarh. This former field hockey midfielder hails from India. Sukhbir Singh Gill made his international debut in the year 1995 with the Men's National Team during the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament.
The tournament was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At the 2000 Summer Olympics, Gill delineated his native country. The 2000 Summer Olympics was held in Sydney, Australia, where India finished in seventh place. At the Olympics, Sukhbir Singh Gill in the 13th minute scored India's first goal.
