Dinapur Cantonment is a cantonment town in the Patna district of Bihar.
According to the 2001 census report, Dinapur cantonment had a population of 28,149 inhabitants. Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44% of the population. In Dinapur Cantonment, 13% of the population is less than six years of age. Dinapur Cantonment has an average literacy rate of 71%, which is higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 77% and, the female literacy rate is 63%. This cantonment town is located between 25°38'24"North latitude and 85°0'36"East longitude.
