Syntu Ksiar, MeghalayaAn extremely popular spot in the Jaintia Hills district, Syntu Ksiar is a vast stretch of the river bank of Myntdu River. Being close to a river bank, Syntu Ksiar is a picturesque site popular for picnic and angling. The word Syntu Ksiar means "flower of gold" and this is the place from where freedom fighter Kiang Nangbah had initiated the freedom struggle against the British Empire.

The nearest railway station is at Guwahati at a distance of 158 km and the Shillong Airport is the closest at a distance of a kilometre from the site of Syntu Ksiar.
