Located in modern day Malkhed in the Gulbarga district of the Indian state of Karnataka, the Manyakheta Fort is a historical fort that is currently in restoration. The town of Malkhed was the capital of Rashtrakuta Dynasty from 814 A.D. to 968 A.D and after the fall of the Rashtrakutas, Malkhed remained the capital of their successors, the Kalyani Chalukyas. The Manyakheta Fort, also known as the Malkhed Fort is currently in ruins.
