The low wooden seats are used during Bengali marriage ceremonies for the bride and groom. These wooden seats are painted in multiple colours and the women folk usually draw alpana on them. Another interesting creative feature of Bengali folk art is the winnow tray painting, which are made of bamboo splits and they are used during ceremonial occasions.
