Early Life of Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah was born in December 1993 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He lost his father Jasbir Singh at the age of 7. His mother’s name is Daljit who is a school principal. His father Jasbir Singh was an industrialist. He started his bowling career by playing for the Gujarat under-19 team.
Career of Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah made his debut in One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals in 2015-16 series against Australia. He made his Indian Premier League debut with the Mumbai Indians in 2013. In his debut match of IPL 2013, he took 3 wickets for 32 runs against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He became only the second bowler in the side to pick three wickets on debut. He made his T20 debut against Maharashtra in the year 2012-13 in ‘Mohit Kumar Trophy’.
In August 2016, he became the bowler to claim most wickets (28) in Twenty20 Internationals in one calendar year surpassing the record of Dirk Nannes in the two matches of T20 series against West Indies. He recorded the most wickets (15) taken by any fast bowler in a two-sided ODI series of five or fewer matches in the 2017 Sri Lanka tour. He made his Test debut for India against South Africa at Newlands in Cape Town on 5th January 2018. He got his maiden Test wicket as he clean bowled AB de Villiers for 65 runs.
In January 2017, in the second match of T20I series of England's 2016–17 India tour, he played an important role in India's win. He went on to perform laudably in India's next world events - the ICC Champions' Trophy in 2017, where he only took 4 wickets in 5 matches, but conceded at an economy rate of just 5 runs an over. An injury kept him out of action for a while in the 2014/ 15 seasons but returned and continued to carry out.
