Dhilwan is a town in Punjab">Kapurthala district in the northern state of India, Punjab. This town is also a nagar Panchayat. It is located between 31.52° North latitude and 75.35° East longitude and at an average elevation of 219 metres (718 feet) above mean sea level.
According to the 2001 census report, Dhilwan had a population of 7980 inhabitants where males constitute 52% of the population and females 48% of the population. In Dhilwan, 12% of the population is less than six years of age. Dhilwan has an average literacy rate of 68%, which is higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 72% and, the female literacy rate is 63%.
