Dharapadavedu is a town in Vellore district in the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu.
According, to the 2001 census report, Dharapadavedu had a population of 30,238 inhabitants. Males and females constitute an equal proportion of the population and 9% of the population is less than six years of age. While the average national literacy rate is 59.5% Dharapadavedu has an average literacy rate of 79%. The male literacy rate is 85% and, female literacy rate is 74%.The literacy rate is high because of the awarenes among the people and the availability of good educational facilities. The town has five primary schools, four upper primary schools and two higher secondary schools.
