Davorlim is a striking hamlet located in Salcette of South Goa district in the state of Goa. It is located around 7 km. from Rachol and 5 km. north of Darmapur. The taluka headquarters located in Margao is situated 7 km. north of Davorlim. The place has a good connectivity with other parts of Goa .The nearest airport is the Goa Airport and the Madgaon Railway Station is the nearest Railway Station.
According to the 2001 census report, Davorlim has a population of about 10,923 inhabitants. Males constitute 52% of the population whereas the females constitute 48%. In Davorlim 12% of the population is less than six years of age. Davorlim has an average literacy rate of 73%, which is higher than the national average literacy rate, which is 59.5%. The male and the female literacy rate is 78% and 68% respectively.
