Madhu Krishnan is an Indian Chef and the Executive Chef at ITC Hotels. Widely considered one of the best chefs in India, Krishnan is a veteran of the Indian food industry who commands the respect of her peers. Her decades-long journey with ITC Hotels has forged a synergy between the group’s core commitments and her trademark dynamism and passion for the culinary arts, to bring into being a culinary philosophy that propagates Caringly Selected and Mindfully Prepared in Season foods that "Celebrate the Ingredient".
Intolerant of mediocrity and enthused by discovery, she has played a prominent role in the successful launch of Edo, ITC Hotels’ first Japanese restaurant celebrating Japan’s vibrant after-hours culture at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru. In her current role at ITC Hotels, Chef Madhu anticipates and sets new benchmarks, amplifies innovations through collaboration, incubates culinary philosophies and promotes creations, guided by a relentless focus on staying abreast of evolving expectations of the moment and the metamorphosis of India’s changing culinaryscape.
Achievements of Madhu Krishnan
Madhu Krishnan is the country’s first recipient of the prestigious ‘Incredible India’ and has been honoured with the ‘Hoteliers India Award’, ‘Chef of the Year 2010’ and the ‘National Tourism Award for Best Lady Chef of the Year’ (2005-2006). She is also the first Chef to win the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India’s ‘Manager of the Year Award’. Chef Madhu Krishnan is best known for her contribution to the West View, ITC Maurya, which opened in 1996.
