Gulmarg Golf Club is located in the Gulmarg region of Jammu and Kashmir- The Paradise on Earth. Gulmarg Golf Club is located at an altitude of 8700 ft from the sea level.

History of Gulmarg Golf Club
Gulmarg Golf Club is the highest green golf garden in the world which came into existence in the year 1911 by the British Empire in India to encourage the golf and the pass time among the kings, royal people and the British officials in India at that time. It was formally introduced with six holes course by Colnel Neville Chamberlein. It came in the limelight of world golf arena as sports when the first Golf Championship was played at Gulmarg in 1922.

Gulmarg Golf Club in Modern India
Gulmarg Golf Course was formally inaugurated on 18th of September, 2011 by the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Omar Abdullah. Ranjit Nanda and associates redesigned Gulmarg Golf Club. This modern golf course is carved out within a meadow and has at least 16 different species of wild flowers of Jammu and Kasmir which are named in Holy Bible. Now Gulmarg Golf Club offers 18 holes championship courses. Gulmarg Golf Club is a stern test of golf from the back tees and measures 7505 yards with a par of 72.

Facilities Offered by Gulmarg Golf Club
Gulmarg Golf Club offers the basic and international based luxurious amenities for the elites and the business population of the world in the midst of the lush green undulating plain lands with 18 holes. Gulmarg Golf Club has the longest dual sided driving range in the country of over 600 yards with target greens to aim at from both sides. There is a large practice green at the clubhouse too.

Golf Academy at Gulmarg Golf Club
Gulmarg Golf Club also has a golf academy for the young generation; with 3 learning holes and is also part of the concept. The greens on the course are large, undulating and very quick with a stimp -meter reading of 10 + feet on regular days. The grass on the greens of Gulmarg Golf Club is A-4 Creeping Bent, which is imported from the United States.
