Manvinder Singh Bisla is an Indian cricket player
who is known as an aggressive right-handed opening batsman and wicketkeeper. He began his fist-class career with Haryana
but currently plays for Goa
and the Royal Challengers Bangalore
. He came into limelight when he powered Kolkata
to their maiden Indian Premier League
(IPL) title in the year 2012. Bisla is one of the lesser known of the wicketkeeper batsman that Indian cricket
unearthed from the junior and India-A ranks in the last decade.

He was born on 27 December 1984 Hisar
in the Haryana state of India
. He received his school education
from D.A.V Public school, Faridabad
Career of Manvinder Bisla
Bisla debuted in Ranji Trophy
domestic cricket in the year 2002 where he represented his home state - Haryana. He then moved to Himachal Pradesh
for the next season and continued to play for the state.
In the year 2009, he was bought by the Hyderabad
franchise to represent their team in the Indian T20 League. In 2010 he was picked by Kings XI Punjab
. Next in 2011, he was signed by the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders
. He was roped in to play as the wicket keeper of Kolkata Knight Riders in first 5 matches as Brad Haddin was not available. He opened the batting with all rounder Jacques Kallis from South Africa. He also made a partnership of 145 with Kallis.
In the Indian Premier League 2012, he was seen playing 7 matches. He scored 213 runs with 1 half century in the final match of the tournament. He took 6 catches and 2 stumpings behind the stumps. He played a match winning innings of 89 off 48 balls against the Chennai Super Kings
in the final of the 2012 IPL to guide his team to a 5 wicket win. He bagged the Man of the Match award for this innings.
Presently, he has been transferred from Kolkata Knight Riders to the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the next season of the IPL. As an aggressive and explosive opener, he remains a threat at the top of the order to any opposition.

He tied the knot with Arpita on 11 March 2007.
