This young football player plays as the goal keeper in Indian national football keeper. In Subroto Cup Final, Aditi Chauhan came over from the stands to give out the awards. Aditi Chauhan is the custodian for Indian Women"s football team who had just returned after an emphatic SAFF Cup victory from Sri Lanka. The 20 year old, has won numerous laurels at University and State level and certainly has a bright future with the Indian team.

Early Life of Aditi Chauhan
Aditi Chauhan is a women`s professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for India women`s national football team. The family of Aditi Chauhan moved to Delhi when she was nine years old. As a child she was very much involved in various sports.

Career of Aditi Chauhan
Aditi Chauhan participated in karate and basketball. After showing promising performance in basketball, Chauhan was selected for the youth state team for the sport. Through basketball, Aditi Chauhan developed a good grip of the ball and a good athletic build. Aditi Chauhan was convinced by her coach to attend trials for the football team as a goalkeeper. Aditi Chauhan was successful and eventually, at the age of 15 appeared on the team for the Delhi U19 squad.

Later Career of Aditi Chauhan
Aditi Chauhan is currently attending Loughborough University. Now Aditi Chauhan is representing the football team in Loughborough University. Aditi Chauhan was selected for trials with the India U19 side at the age of 17. She was a part of the India women`s team that won the 2012 SAFF Women`s Championship in Sri Lanka. Currently, Aditi Chauhan is the goalkeeper of the senior national women"s team. Aditi Chauhan chose to be a goalkeeper in football because of her basketball skills that helped her get a good grip and strong arms. After being selected for the under-19 national team, Chauhan did not look back. Though her parents were apprehensive about her career choice, she found support in her grandmother who encouraged her to pursue the sport at the highest level and even accompanied her to the training sessions.
