He was born on 3 March 1987 in the Maharashtra state of India. It was his father who inspired him to take cricket seriously. At the age of seven, his father sent him to the Nashik Cricket Academy. There he took training under the guidance of Coach Makarand Oke.
Career of Abhishek Raut
He debuted in first-class cricket in the year 2005 against Tamil Nadu. He was signed by the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. However, he did not play in any match of the IPL Season 1. He was seen playing in IPL season two. He played 9 matches and scored 78 runs with the average of 19.5. Raut’s top score was 36 against Deccan Chargers. It was declared as a match winning performance. In the entire season, he hit 5 fours and 3 sixes.
Next, he was seen playing in the third IPL season. He played 6 matches and scored 56 runs with the average of 28. His top score was 31. In the entire season, he hit 3 fours and 3 sixes.
