The location of the Pedda Amberpet Nagar Panchayat is at proximity to the GHMC and very near to the Greater Hyderabad city i.e. about 10 km distance in East side. NH.65 pass through the Nagar Panchayat H.Qs and the entire area of the Nagar Panchayat inside the Outer Ring Road.

History of Pedda Amberpet
Pedda Amberpet Nagar Panchayath has been constituted on 22nd March 2013 by merging Pedda Amberpet Gram Panchayat and three other surrounding Gram Panchayats namely Kuntloor, Pasumamula and Tatti Annaram in Ranga Reddy District.

The extent of area of Pedda Amberpet Nagar Panchayath is 57 Sq. kms. The Population of the Nagar Panchayath as per 2011 census is 27813. Pedda Amberpet is part of Ibrahimpatnam Assembly Constituency and Bhongiri Lok Sabha constituency. The drinking water is being supplied from the Krishna River, Nagarjuna Sagar project. The Central Reserve Forest covers around 2000 acres located in vicinity of the Nagar Panchayat. It is a transitional area that is people living in this area transforming from village culture to town and town to city, because of its location factor.
