History of Bachannapet
Bachannapet is a mandal in the district of Warangal in Telangana. Warangal District is the historically famed district in this newly formed state. This district is famous as it was the capital of Kakatiya Dynasty. The history of Bachannapet dates back to 450 years approximately.

A high school was established in 1955 in this village.

Economy of Bachannapet
Bachannapet is the village mostly dependent on the agriculture. Most of the villagers are farmers and weavers apart from the other people. This village got its irrigation facilities as in this village there are the presence of the man made lakes. The waters of the man made lakes fall in the agricultural lands to grow paddy, maize and wheat. There is a governmental Hospital, a junior college, a mosque, a police station, mandal offices, Central bank of India, Kakathiya Grameena bank (SBI), a public library and few private schools. Apart from these, there are several rice mills in and around Bachannapet. This village has two water reservoirs like Gudi Cheruvu and Thalla Cheruvu and the people are making use of them for drinking purposes and irrigation purposes.

There are few temples in Bachannapet. These temples were established very long time back. In this Lord Shiva temple is one of the famous temples in Warangal district. There is a centre of Sri Siva Rama Dikshita Achala Paripurna Rajayoga Siddhanta which was established in the year 1976 by Sri Vivekananda Agolu Sangayakhya Rajayogi who was a disciple of Sri Dayananda Ponnala Rajayakhya Rajayogi.

Bachannapet is very well connected by road from Janagaon, Siddipet and Yadagiri gutta. Janagaon is the nearest railway station which is about 17 kilometres from Jangaon, Cherial and Aler. Bachannapet is located at NH 9 from Vijayawada-Mumbai. In Bachannapet, there is a village name is Koduvatur. There is another village name Katkur.
