![]() Development and Notable People of Aknoor Vangala family (Deshmukh Reddy) is a prominent family in the village and around Cherial Area as they have contributed a lot for the development of the village. Until the 1980s, this family controlled surrounding 8 villages Patwari, police and Maali Patel posts with effective law and order command in all 8 villages. They donated the lands to village roads and to Shiva temple expansion. The family has also donated land to many poor and needy villagers. 'Avval Narayana', the former sarpanch of the village, has also served a lot of poor people. During his career of 18 years, he also started a Nishkama Kala Kendram for poor people where lots of cultural activities classes were given to people. Abbu Kistaiah, also a former sarpanch who served for nearly 20 years, has developed the village by bringing electricity, water, etc. Then Bade Venkata Hanumaiah was also a famous and most respected dynamic person in the village. He served the village as patwary in between 1967-1984. His responsibility was to solve the problems of village residents. Attractions of Aknoor The village of Aknoor is known for housing various ancient temples. It has an 800 year old Rudreshwara (Shiva) temple.
