Aiborlang Khongjee was born in the year 1983. He belongs to a small town named Lyngkhat in Jaintia Hills district in Meghalaya. Football Team, state level football team in North East India. He loves football from his school days

Career of Aiborlang Khongjee
Aiborlang Khongjee is an Indian football player. He is currently playing for I League club Shillong Lajong. He is playing there as a defender. A centre back, Aiborlang Khongjee can also easily fill in at right back and did so throughout the inaugural edition of the Indian Super League for North East United. He had also played Subroto Cup for his school Raidlaban Higher Secondary School.

After his Class board examination, Aiborlang Khongjee moved to Shillong Lajong Football Club to join the Sports Authority of India. Aiborlang Khongjee started watching international football, and soon became a fan of John Terry. Aiborlang Khongjee has been a fan of Chelsea Football Club. Among the Indian defenders, Mahesh Gawli has been his favourite. He left SAI in 2005 and joined the local team Shillong Lajong Football Club next year as a stopper back.

In 2007, Aiborlang Khongjee was signed by Kolkata club Kingfisher East Bengal F.C. from Shillong Lajong. However, an injury-hit season meant that he got very few opportunities in the big club, and subsequently was sent back to his former club. However, Subrata Bhattacharya, the coach of the Red and Gold Brigade used Aiborlang as the side back for the first time.

Having the experience of playing I-League for East Bengal Football Club, Aiborlang Khongjee was made the captain of the Shillong Lajong for the 2009-10 season, as they prepared for their I-League debut. In the 2009-10 season, Aiborlang Khongjee had given the hosts an early lead from the spot kick against Mohun Bagan Athletic Club in the 54th minute, but later strikes from Chidi Edeh and Marcos Pereira meant the hosts lose 1-2.

On 24th March 2013 in the 2012-13 I-League, Aiborlang Khongjee scored with a header on the 5th minute against Pailan Arrows, and then assisted Tolgay Ozbey on the 19th minute. In August of 2014, Aiborlang Khongjee joined Shillong Lajong for the third time in his career.
