Facilities of Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium
Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium also has a training academy where various indoor games are coached and a special summer camp training for children is conducted. The stadium has wooden flooring and superior lightening system. The stadium is also available for practice since the year 2007 and has the biggest roller skating rink of Hyderabad. It is a100-metre flat track. The rink was constructed by SAAP for the skaters of Mr. Abbas Iqbal Lasania, the first National Roller Skating (Speed) Champion of Andhra Pradesh and an international coach. His students represent the country at International Skating Competitions, both roller and ice.
This skating rink is a boon for the skaters of Hyderabad and its construction has been possible with the persistent efforts of one of the students parent of Mr. Lasania named Mrs. Savita Reddy. In the year 2010 her daughter, Shraddha Reddy, became an Asian Roller Skating Championship medallist under the tutelage of Mr. Lasania. Within two months of the inauguration of the skating rink, the skaters from Lasanias Roller and Ice Skating Academy proved their skills by winning two gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal at the 53rd School Games Federation National Roller Skating Championship in Ahmedabad in December 2007.
