Aditi Mutatkar, the Indian Badminton player, is the second woman of India to play a Grand Prix final. She has exhibited spectacular performances in several tournaments.

Aditi Mutatkar, Indian Badminton PlayerAditi Mutatkar is an Indian Badminton player hailing from the city of Pune in the Indian state Maharashtra. In the 2010 Commonwealth Games, organized in Delhi, she bagged the silver medal in Mixed Team event. She marked her career-best performance by reaching the finals of the Bitburger Open. With this she also reached her highest rank of 27th in the world. She got accredited as the third woman in this country to win the Badminton Nationals in all age categories in the domestic circuit. In the women`s circuit, Aditi Mutatkar also became the last player who defeated Saina Nehwal in a competitive match.

Aditi Mutatkar underwent several injuries owing to which she had to take a break of one and a half years from sports. She made a strong come back in 2012-13 season finishing third in the Senior Nationals. She also became triumphant at the State Championships. She has been the victor of 5 National Badminton Championships including Senior Nationals, Under 19, Under 16 and Under 13. She has been a representative of the Indian Badminton team in multiple international tournaments. In International Championships she won silver and bronze medals on multiple occasions. Aditi Mutatkar is also the second woman of India who has played a Grand Prix final in the year 2008, after Saina Nehwal.
