Irakalgada Fort is one of the most popular Deccan Forts which is located in Irakalgada or Irkalgada village in Koppal taluk in the district of Koppal
, India. The fortress is situated near the village of Bewoor in Yelburga taluk. The geographical coordinate of the site is latitude 15°28'2?N 76°13'15?E. Irakalgada Fort lies almost is 12km away from Koppal.
Irakalgada Fort is small fort that was built as a military post and a defensive structure. It was utilized as a watch tower for a lookout to watch over the attacks of the enemies. The fortress lies in a dilapidated condition presently. The site is now open to tourists and visitors throughout the year. It is being maintained by the Government of India.
