Pawan Kumar Bansal belongs to the Indian National Congress. He was also a Minister of State, Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs in the earlier cabinet. Congress and represents the Chandigarh constituency. Upto May 2013, he serves as the Railway minister of India. He was the candidate of Indian National Congress from Chandigarh in the Indian general elections 2014.
Pawan Kumar Bansal was born on 16th July in 1948 to Piara Lal Aggarwal and Rukmani Devi in Punjab. He did his schooling from Yadavendra Public school, Patiala. He did his B.Sc from Government College, Chandigarh. He did his LL.B. from Punjab University, Chandigarh. He was a member of the 15th Lok Sabha of India.
