L Ibomcha Singh is a young boxer from India born in the state of Manipur. He has won many national and international competitions.

L Ibomcha Singh, Indian BoxerL Ibomcha Singh is a well-known name in the Indian boxing circuit. He is a boxing coach from the Indian state of Manipur, who, in the year 2010, received the highest honour for coaching- the Dronacharya Award, from the Government of India for his services to boxing.

Career of L Ibomcha Singh
Ibomcha won the national medal in the year 1982 at National Games, a bronze medal, and became the first boxer to do so from India.

As a coach too, Singh was very successful he played pivotal role in producing some of the best boxing talents in the country. Ibomcha trained and coached many pupils, out of all the boxers 38 of them stood out and participated at international levels, including two Arjuna awardees, two Olympians, two world champions and one world military games champion.

Some of the famous Indian boxers who trained under him were L Sarita, N.G. Dingko Singh, P Narjit, S Suresh, M Suranjoy and also the four times world women boxing champion Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom.
