Location of Suryalanka Beach
The Suryalanka beach is situated at a distance of 9 kilometres from the historical town of Bapatla, in the Guntur district of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Also known as the Bapatla beach, it is located 50 km south of Guntur City.

Attractions of Suryalanka Beach
The beach is adorned with wide and spacious shore covered with crystal clear and clean water. The slope of the Suryalanka beach declines gradually into the sea which is convenient for those who prefer to engage in a casual stroll down the sea beach. The Suryalanka beach overlooks the crystal blue waters of the Bay of Bengal. The beach is considered safe for swimmers. November month`s dolphin play close to shores is yet another star attraction of Suryalanka beach. The wide spread shinning sea and the golden sands adds to the beauty of the beach.

The best time to visit the Suryalanka beach is during the months of October to March. The Department of Tourism in Andhra Pradesh has set up the Suryalanka Beach Resort and the Haritha Beach Resort. It provides the tourist with good accommodation and is well furnished with most modern facilities and amenities.

Tourists visiting this beach can also taste the delicious Andhra Pradesh preparations of fresh fish, prawns, crabs etc. It also offers hot and spicy, traditional south Indian food.

Connectivity of Suryalanka Beach
The Suryalanka beach is well connected through air, rail and road. It can be easily accessed from the town of Bapatla through the roads that connect the beach to the town. The city of Guntur is the headquarters of the State Road Transport System and has several highways that link the city to the other cities and towns of Andhra Pradesh and other states.

Thus, the geographical features and the natural beauty of the coastline and the seashore make it a beautiful weekend spot for the tourists to visit.
