Kalia the Crow is a fictional comic book character featured in the popular Indian comics
, on a monthly basis. The Kalia the Crow series is released as comics Strips in the magazine. Kalia is a smart and clever crow who rescues his friends from various troubles and from the villains. Doob Doob, the crocodile, and Chamataka, the jackal, are also featured in most issues who desperately attempt to catch 2 rabbits named Meechu and Keechu. However, all their efforts are put to vain by the intelligent Kalia, who finally saves his friends. A snake named Ajgar was also featured in one of the issues and was outsmarted by Kalia the Crow. There is also a female crow, Bhoori, who appears often and is a friend of Kalia.
Apart from the central character of Kalia, there are several other significant characters that appear in strips of the Kalia the Crow series. Chamataka is a fox who plans several fiendish schemes to grab the preys, along with his partner in crime Doob Doob, a dim witted crocodile but a loyal friend. All the time the two friends try to catch Keechu and Meechu, the rabbits, with different types of schemes. However, the smart crow named Kalia, always foils their plans and saves the rabbits, who are his friends. Kalia is the arch enemy of Chamataka and Doob Doob.
In some occasions, it has been shown that Kalia has also saved the lives of Chamataka and Doob Doob as well. Chamataka has a friend named named Chamataki. A fawn called Shonar, also appears in Kalia the Crow series. Shonar is the prime target of the tiger that lives in the forest. Kalia also helps Shonar and saves from the deadly tiger with the help of an elephant and Babloo the bear.
