Benudhar Rajkhowa (1872-1955) edited the Bijoli (1890-92). He wrote a number of poems and songs. His poetic works include: Dehar pralay, Jivan sandhiya, Sipurir hatari which were written between1920 and 1930. All of them were serious compositions. Rajkhowa's poems are known for their historical significance. Perhaps due to this time has transferred him and his work to the background. However these songs are precursors of the dawn-songs of the succeeding romantic period.
