Mannadi, located 13 Kms away from Adoor, is the place where Veluthampi Dalawa, the renowned freedom fighter of Travancore, spent his last days. Muloor Smarakam, 12 Km from from Pathanamthitta town, is the memorial to Muloor S.Padmanabha Panicker(1869-1931), a renowned social reformer and poet. It is located at Elavumthitta. His home at Elavumthitta is preserved as his monument by the Department of Culture of the State Government.
Konni is a small charming hill town, resplendent with lush meadows and hills. It stands on the banks of the Achankovil River. The town is famous for timber trade and wild elephant training centre situated here. Elephants that have been trapped from the forest are trained here. The town is surrounded by clove and pepper plantations.
The sight of the Perunthenaruvi Water falls is a most spectacular one. The waterfall plunges down from a rocky height of 60-100 feet into a ravine. The place is accessible from Kollam.
