Some of the most talented and extremely talented people from different field received the Padma Bhushan Award in the year 1968. The award is considered as the third highest civilian award among all the awards presented in India. It is being presented by the Government of India since 1954 and is mainly presented with a view to recognise the extraordinary talents in different fields like Science & Engineering, Literature & Education, Medicine, Sports, Civil Service, Arts, Trade & Industry, Social Work, Public Affairs, etc. A total of 28 people received the Padma Bhushan Award in the year 1968.
