The RNT Medical College or the Rabindra Nath Tagore Medical College (RNTMC) is situated in Udaipur city in the state of Rajasthan. The medical college was established in 1962 in a building, donated by the HH ex-Maharana of Udaipur. The college has been working with an objective of spreading the light of medical education in the state. The administrative block of the college is housed in another historical palace that was donated by Salumber Rao. The Medical Council of India (MCI) recognised the college in 1966.
The training standards of the RNT Medical College (RNTMC), Udaipur are rated to be very good, especially in medicine. The medical college has 100 seats in its graduation courses, 66 in the post graduation level and 18 in the diploma courses. The college started offering one seat in DM cardiology from 2006, as well. There are several hospitals associated with the RNT Medical College (RNTMC), Udaipur. The hospitals include the likes of Maharana Bhupal District Hospital, Panadhay Female District Hospital, Hindustan Zinc Cardiology Hospital, Saith Ramvilas Bhuwalaka Yakshma Arogya Sadan and the Badi Tatha Baal Chikitsalaya.
