![]() Like all the other recognised dental colleges, the Farooqia Dental College (FDC), Mysore also follows certain rules and regulations for admitting the students in the BDS course. According to the rules, the students are required to have passed the Two Year PUC examination conducted by the P.U.C Board of Karnataka State with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects or any other examination recognised as equivalent by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangaluru. These examinations include the Pre-degree of Kerala State, the Higher Secondary Certificate of Maharashtra, the Intermediate examination of Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh or other States where 12 year course is prevailing, and also the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (12 years) of Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The candidates are required to obtain at least 50% of the total marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the qualifying examination. The minimum marks required for admission is 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for general candidates in P.U.C. or other equivalent examinations of P.C.B. group. However, the percentage comes down to 45% for the candidates belonging to SC/ST category. The students are also required to be aged at least 17 years as on 3lst December of the year of admission in the Farooqia Dental College (FDC), Mysore. The students also have to go through a State Level Common Entrance test, conducted by Common Entrance Cell, Government of Karnataka. The Farooqia Dental College (FDC), Mysore strictly follows the syllabus, discipline, and examination procedures prescribed by the RGUHS Bangaluru. The college also offers separate hostel facilities for its male and female students. |
