Eye disorders are common among people of all ages ranging from children to old. Eye diseases can be defined as an impairment or abnormal functioning of eye which leads to visual disturbance. Most of the eye diseases cause blurred vision whereas severe cases lead to blindness.
Eye disorder can cause damage and blindness if not treated soon enough. Most people have eye problems at one time or another. Some are minor and will go away on their own, or are easy to treat at home. Others need a specialists care. Always check with a doctor if the symptoms are really bad or dont clear up within a few days.

There are several problems which can affect the surface of the eye which can affect vision, although usually they mainly cause pain and redness.

Make sure to see an eye care professional for any problems that last more than a day or two. Apart from this, there are several things one can do each day to maintain eye health and avoid problems.
Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water to keep the body and eyes hydrated.
Make a conscious effort to stop periodically to rest and blink frequently especially when reading, working on a computer or watching television.
Avoid rubbing eyes.
Always protect eyes from the suns harmful UV light and glare with protective lenses.
