Bharata, the son of Dushyanta, after reigning with glory, becomes a worshipper of Vishnu. In this consequence , Sunanda, a servant of Vishnu is sent to convey to the king. On the way Bharata asks Sunanda to give him an account of the regions which they traverse, and Sunanada accordingly describes to him the situation and extent of the different Lokas or spheres above the earth.
