Kanjar is an Indian tribe who lived in the northern parts of Madhya Pradesh and some parts of Uttar Pradesh. Kanjar were known for their nomadic life.
Kanjar were notorious for kidnapping and other immoral activity. The Kanjars make ropes, matting, and 'kaskas tatties'. They also twist cotton and hemp into threads, and manufacture large brushes for the leaning of cotton yarn.
